My U.S. tour is nearing its end, but there are still many domestic volcanoes to choose from without even going to Hawaii or Alaska. Some of them may be sleeping, covered in forest or cleverly disguised as ordinary mountains, but those may be the most fun. I like uncovering their past and learning their secrets. This particular volcano seems to be trying to win my heart with crater lakes. I’m a sucker for a volcano with deep blue sincere crater lakes.
This crater lake has a name. I’m giving 2 bonus points to each person who can identify this lake before the challenge ends.
