As seen in the photo, this volcano is a tad lopsided. According to one source (to be cited at the end of the quest), it is because this young cone formed on the side of a submarine caldera.

This “child” has been growing at a rate of a little more than 22 feet (around 7 meters) per year for the past 60 years.
